Slides - free software to make slide presentation

Slides - make a catalog of your digital photos.   It uses new graphic library that supports latest jpeg compression and many other formats . There is conversion tool that saves picture in different image formats.
The freeware "Slides" software  offers two main features. It makes catalog file that keeps only references to the images, but not the images itself. This makes it easy to maintain huge library of pictures that in turn may occupy  many megabytes of space each. Another feature, I consider very useful for computer-generated presentation, is the simple way to select an area of the image to be shown on the screen. Same image can be used to show it with the different magnifications.
"Slides"  also can create show from  selected folder including all images from its all lower levels of subfolders. "Slides" can also help to export existing slide show to the selected folder that will be filled with the smaller  size images ready to sent them by email (Sure it does not affect original files). Finally last but not the least tool offered by "Slides" is a reference recovery tool. One may move images to different folders or even drives. "Slides" deal with the references to files. If file renamed or moved to different location the reference become broken and it had to be repaired . Reference recovery tool searches for single selected broken reference file using folder navigating window . When file found "Slides" tries to recover all references in the slide show. It is amazing how well it does the job.  We recommend using this software only to prepare slide presentation. For image editing better to try any available in-store commercial software.
